I bought ficus after ficus and they keep dieing because there is to much water in the cage. is there a better plant that is use to more moisture? is there some trick I dont know about? its not over the dripper but gets splashed therefor remaining wet. hellllpppp

I buy a few extra plants, and when one looks like it needs a break, I switch it. The plant gets to dry out on the porch, and get some good sun.

I just keep rotating as needed.

make a back splash for the plant pot of some kind.

also you should make sure the plants are acually dead. ficus are very well known to just drop all the leaves for a while and then grow back.

try pothos plants.

or make a draining hole for the pot and set it in a shallow tub.

I would try the back splash thing firsT..

you can also try changing out the soil more often. When the water is constantly dripping through the soil it will eventually dissolve the nutrients that the plant receives from the soil. If your leaves are turning yellow, it's getting way too much water. if that's the case try getting a water tray for the plant that is 2-3 inches larger than the pot. It will allow more water to drain out and you can either dump it out every day or soak it up with some paper towels or use "the absorber" it's like a towel but it holds way more liquid.
