SUPER BALLS

theCleaner Oct 16, 2007 09:17 PM

I've notice some breeders who has crossed bloods into balls, am I correct? Seems pretty neat, since my favorite snakes are bloods and balls. How is this going with some breeders? Looks like it could be some good snakes that would come out. I know some people are against outcrossing though.

its best to bring up in the hybrid forum, hybrids tend to upset puritans

balls have been crossed to quiye a few other pythons: angolans, bloods, burmese, carpet and woma. and im sure there will be plenty more to come

You should also research the difference between outcrossing and hybridizing

Your right, my bad,. I'm a 16 year breeder of Bulldogs and we often use the term "outcross". The correct term for the reptile cross is hybrid. I typed before I thought...and sorry I didn't realize there was a hybrid forum or I would have posted there. I know there was some bigger name breeders advertising "Super Balls" so I didn't know if it was accepted by ball breeders here or not. I do see that it is a four letter word in here.
