Albino sulcatas in Daytona

cwilder Aug 22, 2003 06:53 PM

Did anyone happen to see the albino sulcatas in Daytona? Strictly had two last year and eight this year. I wonder who the lucky breeder is? Anyway not as neat looking as the albino redfoot but still very nice animals. shouldn't be to long before the price drops with that kind of production.

Yes I saw them and their price was ridiculous. You can get them from Richard Fife at Riparian Farms for $3500, not the $12,500 strictly wanted.

There is a huge difference between the Ivory tortoise and a true albino

I've seen both in person. I would have to think both are quite rare and very attractive. I'm not sure if I agree that their is a great difference. the eye color is different but both are white and untill I see them full grown I can't say their that different. Anyway I like both morphs.

I think so also, but in reality the ivory is a more valuable tortoise, because it can be used to create a multitude of color morphs.
