The rat with a hundred lives...

MannyRottie Oct 17, 2007 12:58 PM

I threw a rat in one of my balls racks and she did not eat him...so I waited a day and the same. I rotated racks between my five balls and this rat made it through 5 days of this. He finally was eatten, but damn that was one lucky rat almost like their little fuzzy buddy. I made a deal with him that if he survived a full week that he would be my new pet, but he was terminated. Pretty funny

LOL I have had that happen, this is that time of the year. It gets kinda sick when you are happy that finally someone ate the rat.

That's why you need a failsafe garbage-can snake...one that will eat anything, any time, any day. I have 2 of those and if there's a rat that all the others pass up in succession (no idea why), these 2 will eat it.

You need to save those ones as breeders. Eventually you will end up with a rat coloney with the wrong smell for snakes to eat ...
