applying flexwatt..

bergmantis Oct 17, 2007 04:28 PM

1. I want to use flexwatt on my vision 422. I have the cage resting on a table. Is the heat tape adhesive like heat pads that stick to the bottom? Or do I just slide the flexwatt under the cage and it can be removeable?

2. Also, If it rests in between the cage and the table, should I elevate the cage a bit to allow heat to escape or is that not important? It will be hooked up to a thermostat.

It is not adhesive, you can attach it to the bottom using aluminum tape which can be found in the air duct department of your local home improvement store.

I am sure some rubber/plastic stick on feet would be safe to elevate the cage just enough. On a thermostat you should not have a problem with it getting too hot to burn something.
