OMG, Zoe did not shed but this girl is AMAZING. From Jess Losse's litter early this year. Was not a super standout at the time. Actually got her to go with Ziggy, the dorsal striper. She has some dorsal striping but the color this girl is developing. She may just be THE brightest BRB in my colection. She wasn't really holding still so only a few shots. Will try and get more tonight along with some compare shots using her and others.

Piqued your curiosity yet?

She is holding her own against Chris and that's impressive but you give Chris the 3 sheds to catch up and watch out she will be so hot and I will be so jealous

All very nice as usual Dave, especially Zoe! I'm hoping my girlfriend gets this job she's interviewing for (same company i work for, lol) so we can have a little more cash flow. Maybe, just maybe i can talk her into letting me get another snake. I'd love to make my pair into a trio, lol. I think a quartet is pushing my luck right now though, lmao.

Bob

medyssa Oct 18, 2007 10:02 AM

Unfortunately Bob I wont have the chance to take pictures of Zeek until next week probably, I will try hard to get some today just for you.

You should see the hot young thing I picked out for him last night at Dave's house. She's a nice red color, not too much contrast but I bought into the idea of a pretty snake rather than what would match more perfectly with Zeek.

There's always time for that perfecct match up, although it seems like the snake that Dave had with the best contrast like I am looking for would be Zeek's half-sister Zoe!

Talk about a shot in the dark, Dave showed me Ziggy and Zoe last night while I was there (of course he told me before hand that I couldnt have them back or even beg for them back, just drool). Seeing them was like torture. Lol. I exaggerate, but they are looking awesome, ESPECIALLY Zoe, don't even THINK the pictures Dave takes do her any justice at all this is one snake you have to see in person.

Dave got a better deal than he realized when he picked up those two. He originally bought Ziggy and took Zoe just because, Ziggy is turning out nice but he is definately eclipsed by his sister in the color department. When I dropped them off they were both pre-shed, just 6 days old or something and weren't showing any signs of the color they now have so Dave was a bit disappointed in getting two bland snakes aside from their dorsal stripes. Its safe to say hes satisfied now.

OOpps, Shamelessly fished for confirmation on Zoe's color and it was already here!!

Thanks for the compliments on my (now yours) baby. One of Bullseye's bumper crop, she's a looker for sure and the color will only get better.

And one minor correction, I was never dissappointed with Ziggy and/or Zoe. I did want Ziggy and got Zoe to go with him, So glad I did!! And you have to admit, I gave you a very fair, even more than fair, pre-shed price. I believe I gave you more than you were thinking you could/should get? I saw even back then potential in these two, not so much color as the pattern, the color is definitely a bonus!!!!!

And yeah, ended up with an awesome deal!!!!!!

Thanks again and NO, the begging won't work!!!!

Okay disappointed was probably the wrong word to use, because I know you weren't disappointed to get them. It was worrisome even for me though, I didnt have high expectations for Zoe's and Ziggy's color because their siblings weren't showing much after shedding. Plus, their mother isn't too hot, although I have begun to look at her much differently that I did before.
And I'm not complaining at all about what I got for the pair. I am still elated that (giggles) DAVE COLLING bought two of MY babies. :P
And can you remember the code name for the baby I picked out last night? I cant remember and I wanted my mom to check her out on your website. Hopefully if she sees an adorable little snake she will be less likely to keep me from buying more things from the San Jose show in a few weeks. Can't wait. :D
Here's Ziggy's baby picture.

Smirk, I didn't buy them for color, I bought them for pattern thinking I'd have to work on crossing them into color if I got the pattern to repeat. OMG something to strive for, having me own your babies, Much of my collection was bought!!! One here, a couple there, A bunch from Will, some from Mike, some from Jeff, some from Brian, a pair from you, four from Howard (including his breeders) etc. etc. I have and will continue to gather together stellar breeders, the better the breeding stock, the better the outcomes.

You picked out BU-TO-25. I've started to move the hold/solds to the bottom of the lists to clear them away from the availables! So scroll all the way to the bottom.

you first got those guys and I even remember about the thread going on Jess' four or five posts of pics. Your words were something like, I paid a little high of a price for them but I got them for the dorsal striping. Now that you have a stunner that price is well worth it for just that one let alone you have another striper for it. Great acquisition and you snooze you lose (I think you said that also) and not outshining Chris then that has to be very impressive as Jess witnessed and now she is gonna have trouble sleeping for a little while lol you can never tell cuz it is like a crap shoot huh?
Bob

rainbowsrus Oct 18, 2007 05:23 PM

Part elephant? You got me going so I had to use the search engine to find that. Goes back to May 20/21 of this year and I said in reply to a post from Jess "they were not acquired for color but for pattern."

The actual post...

posted her litter pics in sets of 3 per post or 5 per post and this was a much longer thread. This is when you said you snooze you lose but when Jess started the thread and then one or two got out. I am willing to bet some money on it but I don't know how to use the search feature on KS and Dave I'm telling you

Took more searching but I found the other one and it had nothing about buying them for pattern not color as "this" thread was dicscussing....

When I search I use my last name as must since it's in my sig file and not common. That and one other word will narrow things down, but finding the right word can be the trick!!

Don't worry even if somehow I can't find it again, there are all of these lovely people who will back me up...unless they are so crazed to get one of your Nascar BRBs (racing stripes...get it?)that they kidnap me in order to get their hands on the baby.

Yes it has been slow Dave. My little hypo female I got is going into shed and I found out a little about her history that I'll post when she does shed with fresh photos but my picture taking skills have greatly improved though. I did read on the boa forum that Big Mike takes his photos with flash from far away and zooming in as not have the flash wash out the color but I just try not to use the flash at all. I really enjoy taking them outside cuz I don't have anything I could even temporarily set up for anything and the green grass gives good background or at least I like it and I'm gonna quit babbling now.......
