I started off using their boxes and am glad I did. All of my animals have made it safe and sound and the boxes are very professional and secure. I like them a lot. I also buy my heat/cold packs, snake bags, and water cups from them.

Worry about that after you produce some animals. And need to ship. Why waste money for nothing?

So why not answer the question? Probably, because your "yearlings" are still actually in the egg, and you just use egg cartons to ship?
I go to the local universities. They usually have boxes that have the foam in them for recycling, and they just let me take them off their hands.

Hey,
Be VERY careful about using recycled boxes. I had a shipment sent to me in a box that had a hazmat symbol on it- it was detained and placed in storage, all 10 female balls died. The shipper crossed over the symbols but the shipper flagged it anyway. Any lettering can be misinterpreted- so always use shipping boxes from a reputable shipping company for herps- with styro padding, snake bag, heat, and newspaper.
My 2 cents,

I figure I shipped snakes probably 30-40 times, and I've never bught a box. MY local pet store would give me the boxes their fish came in. They are exactly the same box and styro insert system that most of the companies sell for shipping reptiles, with the only difference being the outside markings. I used to use these for all my shipments, and still do for large snakes or large groups of babies. They are a little more expensive to ship since FedEx went to the "dimensional weight" system. Fortunately for me, my wife has a regular prescription shipped to the house that comes in an insulated box with ice. These boxes are heavy cardboard, 10" by 10" by 10", and have a full 1 inch thickness of foam all the way around. They are perfect for one or two babies.
Of course, the easiest option if you can't find free boxes elsewhere would be to buy study cardboard boxes in whatever size you need, and line them yourself with sheet styro from home improvement or craft type stores...
LLL has really nice boxes. I've used them before and the boxes are reasonably priced and easy enough to put together, even for my first time shipping.
And, if you go to the esco store, you'll see me working there.

I was there yesterday, and did not see you!

Sure? I work afternoons Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Yesterday I spent most of my afternoon cleaning out the little glass cages, and letting my coworkers get bit by the inhabitants.
