eye problems

blueackie Oct 18, 2007 09:10 PM

Hello, I have a very old leo with some substrate in his eye. It has gotten huge, it looks like he can't open it. It is extremely swollen. It sometimes leaks yellow fluid, and I'm afraid It may have spread to his mouth. he is going to a vet soon, anything else I can do to help him? topical?

thanks.

No, but the inside is crusty....Lots of yellow gunk on the roof of its mouth.

Ive had a problem with one of my geckos eyes,
he couldnt open either eyes, but he never developed anything yellow. It was black. My vet gave me eyedrops which was a chemical called gentamicin sulfate and that cured him. I had to apply the drops 3 times a day and after 2 weeks, he made a full recovery.
I hope all goes well,
Robert
