Help please... strange film devoleping over Star's eye

My adult female Indian Star has a creamy- white film speading over her left eye. It started in the lower corner, and has moved up. She keeps this eye closed a lot more than the right one. What do you think this is? What can I do to help her? I greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks. Brooks
