Hello,

the size is okay for the next several months- but for adult iguanas I woul suggest 200cm*200cm*200cm.
Put some branches into the terrarium. They should be as big as your thigh. Install them especially horizontal.
Your terrarium seems to be pretty dark. Use several (3 or 5)fluorecent lamps and minimum one activ UV bulb (e.g. Zoo meds)with 160 W! They need much light for feeling good.
Sorry for the bad news, but to make your iggy feel good, you should ad these things. Where do you life? I wonder how you want to bring the high humidity into the terrarium.
Best wishes,
Karsten

The cage is already 6ft wide by 8ft tall by 5ft deep which is good for when it gets bigger. Its only a little dark now because my iguana is so small i built that pvc box to raise it within a foot of the light and basking bulb and the striplight covers that entire area. When it gets bigger i had intended on taking out that pvc of course and putting in branches but not until it gets bigger.

It's really beautiful !!
Love it ! really
How did you do it ??

Its built into three parts which are removable for moving.the top section is just a hood which holds the lights and also prevents the iguana from knocking over the lights. Then i built the center section with hardward cloth and a 4x4 door on the left side.the bottom is made of 2x4's and plywood and lined at the bottom with green turf and has industrial strength wheels because this thing all together is extremely heavy, but you can move it with one hand with the wheels.Im very happy with it,it was my first attempt at building anything close to this, thank God for my dad and his mitre saw.

Did you really make that yourself? if you did i would love toknow how and howmuch it cost becuase my little ig wont be little for long

yes i did build this myself.I just took the idea from my fish tank, which if you have ever looked at something like a 50 gallon fish tank with stand underneath and the hood overtop, this iguana tank uses the same design except where the fish tank would be i used hardware cloth which you can find in 4ft high 25 ft long which is what i used. The middle section which is the cage is built solid on top with hardware cloth and open at the bottom which fits onto the bottom stand which is another 4ft down from what you cant see on the picture.I used 2 2x2's on each corner of the cage and stapled the hardware cloth as well as used roofing nails to give it more support since the iguana will mainly hang on the cage all day.Bottom uses two 2x4's for each corner and i braced it across the bottom from front to back with 5 2x4's at bottom then laid particle board over top and then put some plastic sheeting to make it waterproof and then finished with some artificial turf at the bottom.i used in total about 15 2x4's,8 sheets of particle board, about 15 2x2's (which were also used exclusively for the door, and about 15 2x1's which make the box shape you can see up top and it hides all of the seams so it looks all smooth from all angles.

If you want to know anymore Ig&Snakeowner i can post pics from all sides as well as the plans i used with exact material quantities.
