I would also like to know what is wrong with the name? As for new photos, he is in shed right now (was going in whenn this photo was taken)as soon as he sheds I'll get more. Please remeber I work with snakes, not cameras, so I will do my best.

They are already know as carpalls which I believe is a better name ... car bomb sounds kinds insensitive to folks in military, thats also if you start sending around emails with "car bomb" in the text, you might find the NSA scanning all your emails !

On the other hand, congrats, looks like a great snake ...

In responce to the name, I don't see how this could be offensive to anyone. Explosives and cars have been combined ever since cars and explosives have co-existed. I would be more concerned about victims of the IRA, Mafia, or any radical group who use violence as a means to an end. I've never been "politicly correct" nor am I a sensitive man, sorry.
As for the Carpells, these are Irian Jaya (Papua) Carpets X Ball, not a Coastal Carpet X Ball (the Car-Bomb). Irians (Papuan)do not occure on main land Australia, their range extends across Indonesia half of Western Papua and into Papua New Guinea. This being a different Hybrid I would prefer not to cause confusion by lumping the two Hybrids together as is done with "Jungle Corns". In your book,Designer Morphs, you make a clear distinction between the Black Blood Ball (Sumatra STP X Ball) and the Super Ball (Marble Borneo Python X Ball). You can clearly see the difference between the two. How is this different? The Carpell and Car-Bomb where hatched the same month and year(days apart)a great month for Hybrids, two different Hybrids. I love the book, by the way.I also love a good discusion (if you can't tell).
I will get some good pics as soon as he is out of shed and my camera skills improve.

i love it anarchy reptile group, thats a name i would use for sure. also thanks for clarifing the differance, i was unaware of it between the papuan and coastal carpets. they are not a snake i have experience with but i would love to see some bredli's added in at some point to maybe get some red in their.

Ok, my problem with the name is several things. Yes, I agree you can name and have the right to name a new hybrid anything you want.If you are looking at marketing them then you have to understand a lot of breeders that may purchase the snakes and breed them won't use your made up carbomb name for obvious reasons. They will just refer to them as the hybrid they are. This kind of cuts your made up name out of them in the future as far as recognition for doing this hybrid. Not that this may mean anything to you but it is a business decision that might need to be considered. Some may not purchase just because of the name. Who really knows. I thought Boaphile was a horrible name for a business since it too closely resembles pediphile and we know the horrible things that go with that, but the name has stuck, he has a great reputation, and probably as time goes by the shock has worn off. Funny though when around people I'm not familar with I'll use his real name and not his business name when talking about his animals or items for sale. Again a business decision that I suppose hasn't hurt him and really probably won't hurt you either. I do believe though that some breeders won't take someone AS seriously using the name you have come up with, Carbomb, since they may believe you might be more into the shock "Anarchy Reptile Group" naming as you are into the animals, unfair assumption maybe but it may still be there. The bomb, part really has nothing to do with anyone figuring out what the hybrid was, Carpal at least incorperates parts of 2 names of the animals used. I know the word bomb is also used to described something nice such as "its the bomb". The combining of the 2 however is IMO, too much considering the times we live in. I'm not making a judgement as to whether or not you are a great person, great breeder, care about people and your animals but just giving my mature opinion about this name. I do a lot of hybrids and personally have yet to name one. I'm not into that but do understand the marketing aspect of that. Good luck with them, they look so far so much better than the Carpals I've seen as far as how they look starting out.
