screen cage - help! water drainage

iso Aug 22, 2003 09:27 PM

Hello all

how do you keep water from going everywhere in your screen cage? I have one that I bought from scales. it is 2x2x3

I have a jackson so he gets a little more water than most - I need to build something to keep the water from going everywhere!

thanks all

i use paper towels to soak up the excess water and they also help to keep the humidity up in the cage!

i change the towels 2-3 times a week, and it works great!

hope this helps!

If your worried about getting water everywhere ( such as on your floor or carpet). I use a heavy duty garbage bag. I cut the bag open and lay it out under the cage. Then I trim it so it is about 3 inch diameter around all 4 sides. Then I fold the edges up and tape them tightly at the corners. It works great on reptatriums and you dont have to spend $10 on a plastic liner.

Just my method though...Hope this helps!
