impacted, and can die from that. But they usually don't eat it, as you say they catch the bug and get a little sand and they seem to spit it out. I don't think they get that much. I use sand with all mine. Even with my hatchlings, after 1 week on paper towels, I put them on sand as well. Hopefully you will have no problems. Hey hows your guy doing other than that ? Eve

....next it will be the Premium "JohnE Signature Series" Las Vegas Hot Tub Filter Sand (from The Elvis Suite at the Tropicana) LOL. Just kidding.

You can usually find a "regular" light bulb to produce the right temps. Try a couple of different wattages (40w, 60w, etc) to see which one gives you the best results. I use the "full spectrum" halogen spots for basking areas myself, but almost anything will work.

GOLDDIGGER sand that our own LORD EDDINGTON buys ! The rest of US COMMON FOLK have to scrap the barrel and shop at home depot and buy their cheapo brand, so we can still afford to put food on the table. Gotta bake the bread and pick the corn and can the beans, just to save a buck, LMAO Eve

...or a product merchandizing offshoot of Frank Herbert's "DUNE" series. "Genuine imported sand from Arrakis, make all your worms SUPERWORMS!"
