K. Love has written a very informative book that you would greatly benefit from. It has lots of professional/colorful photos of just about all the morphs. More importantly, it will provide you with lots of info you'll need if/when you get a cornsnake. I am not sure if she ships to Canada and while I have never purchased a corn snake directly from her, she is one of the top breeders in the US and I know people who have and are happy. The pic of my okeetee in your previous post is from her genetic line of okeetee corn snakes.
If you are serious about getting a corn snake as a pet, keep in mind that they can live a long time and this book will answer just about all questions you have for starting out with your first snake. There are also other good books as well (such as Michael McPhersons (sp?)Guide to keeping corn snakes)which you can pick up very inexpensively at most pet stores. If you are going to buy from a petstore, I would ask what literature or books they have BEFORE you get the animal. If not, how old are you? and can you order from the internet?...b/c you can find some stuff on amazon.com for corn snake info)

While I agree with everything you said, I don't think the book addresses this person's main concern: if you don't know what a baby is, you can't look up a pic.
However, your point is valid: do a little research yourself before asking 600 blind questions here. Getting these answers won't help much, 'cause you wont remember them all anyway.

...and I think to myself, "What a wonderful world."
I think birdhou53 is a kid looking to get his 1st snake, therefore I keep suggesting to him to get something...ANYTHING to read on basic corn snake care to prevent problems later on...thats mainly why i was suggesting for him to get a book.
I wish there was a book that had comparisons of babies vs. yearlings vs. adults of every commonly available morph! If there was one, I'd be in trouble with more corns than I'd know what to do with..LOL....but till then I'll cruise this forum (& websites) checking out pics posted... Who knows, maybe a 2nd edition to the corn snake manual is in the works??? Except for the odd babies produced & secret morph projects being worked on by bigtime breeders, you could probably view pics of 99% of corn snake morphs online somewhere.

well im 16 so i ain't really a kid.....the reason why i ask so many questions is because i know u guys are all experts and that its better to hear it from someone who actually does it rather than a book or online page (i have already read tons of those). Books dont tell u whats the difference or pros or cons between Asphen Shavings and Repti-Bark....some books say they require UV lighting.....some say u dont becoz UV will harm the snakes.....so i ask u guys these things....
Well im sorrie if i ask so many questions, if u guys dont want me to post then i wont post anymore questions =(......well thanks for the help......for those who helped me
It sounds to me you are doing everything you can Birdhou53 to make sure you have a firm understanding on how to properly care for corn snakes. Though I am also in the same boat as you, doing research and asking questions on corn snake care as I am also looking to buy one my time on various Kingsnake forums as shown that the reculars tend to get bored fast answering the same old questions over and over again.
Though I haven't been on the corn snake forum long enough to know if your question about aspen shavings and repti bark was asked before, sometimes searching for your question first can produce the answer you seek.
Love's book, The CornSnake Manual may not be available in Canada at all. I have looked for it with Chapters, Amazon.ca and haven't found it. I did however find it at amazon.com but I hate ordering from the states, especially online. Just too much extra cost involved in doing so. Difference in dollar, taxes, duty, extra shipping costs...wind up spending more than the cost of the book would be if I bought it somewhere in Canada. I am going to check and see if the library has a copy of it to read. This way I can write down the important things to remember.
Hey thanks, oh yeah speaking of the book.....you can only find it at pet stores, it's like $14.95 though....The Corn Snake Manual By Bill and Kathy Love..
You can find it at PJ's Pet Center or SUPER PET
Good luck =)

Those are my corns and that is my picture. The very least you could do is ask? If you want to know what kind of corns, why don't you ask the breeder?
