How's my dragon's weight..is he chubby?

kirokiro Oct 20, 2007 11:39 PM

Okie, my male is about 22 inches - elongated body shape, and about 500 grams. Is he heavy? Or average or underweight?

Here's a pic again!

Personally I'd be happier if he was 550 or so.

I also thought at 500grammes, he is a bit under ideal weight...because earlier I was told he is fat..so a little confused which is why i posted this advert. I hand fed him quite a few supers last night, he doesn't catch his crickets at all.....have not seen him eat one either....urghhh

So its veggies and supers for him. Thanks!

My adult males really only eat supers also. I wouldn't really worry about his weight. Most of the time they slowly gain even if they really only eat salads. I'd just give him pretty much full time access to salad and 6-8 supers or so a day. I'll bet in 6 months he'll be mid to high 500's
