How long to shed?

HandInTheFlame Oct 21, 2007 11:38 AM

Hey guys,
Our little girl, Blondie, has been in shed for about the past three weeks. After a week, she had taken care of her head, and for the past two weeks her belly and back legs have had the "pastel/clouded" shed look to them... We've been misting her and giving her little baths, but there doesn't seem to be any change in what her legs/belly/tail looks like. She's eating (kept eating all the way through shedding her head), and seems active enough (she's a rescue and seems to have some muscle problems, so she's not as active as our other dragon), but we just want to make sure that there isn't anything going on that we should worry about.
Thanks in advance!!

I wouldn't worry. The only thing to keep an eye out for is that when her feet and tail shed that all the shed comes off the toe and tail tips.

I have a yellow baby that spends at least 3/4 of the time looking grey because it takes so long for his body to shed. I swear as soon a it sheds he looks grey again as another cycle starts. lol.

Don't stress over it, She'll shed when she's ready. I have four bearded dragons, it takes them from a week or two to just two days.
