Juvenile and Adult

How old does a collared lizard have to be before it is considered an adult as opposed to a juvenile? Also do collared lizards need a bowl of water deep enough for them to submerge most of themselves, I have read this on a few webpages?

I will call them adults when they are around one year old. When they have the size of an adult I consider them as adults.

They only need a shallow water dish to drink from.
