` Some babies just have to get it out of their system. My most gentle adult Yellow was a nippy baby. After couple of months, and lots of nips, he turned into a real sweet critter. I just let him tag me, until he figured out I wasn't going to hurt him. I'd rather take a dozen small Anaconda bites, than one 3/4 pound rat bite!!!

If you think education is expensive, consider the cost of ignorance.

A good friend once described anaconda bites as follows. "they bite three ways, hard, fast and often." And she was right too. That little thing hit with the side of his mouth rather than straight on and with a bit of a head twist, and in rappid succession. Darn good thing he's settling down. A full grown anaconda attacking like that would make a croc moniter look harmless.

I don't believe in luck. Luck is God covering your a** when you screw up.

` I guess I just got lucky. My Yellows came from NERD. I have never seen more calm, or gentle Boids. Sure, they were nervous as babies. Their instinct tells them they are delicious little tube-steaks. They got over it in a couple of months. In the last six years, not one has tried to bite me. They get handled constantly, and accidentally insulted occasionally, but they just put up with it. I have one runt male, who will squirt you when he's had enough. The rest just get ansy when they have had enough. It will be interesting to see if it is an inherited trait.
