I am not shocked by this question, just a little dismayed. I am sure the person you bought your monitor from did not make sure you knew how to take care of it, they were probably primarily concerned with payment. Well here is my .02, I have never kept a member of the indicus group, well i kept a mangrove for a month and then traded it. Your cage is too small, an adult will need a large cage, it is up to you to do that, i would say around 6x3x3 minimum (i mean that last part). feed it rodents, insects if you want, do what you are going to do but just feed it. give it a good basking, give it a good diggable substrate, don't listen to that tree part in their name, they like to dig too. sorry man, thats about all their is to it, you just have to fill the gaps in with common sense no matter what others tell you.

Thanks Andrew. I have not got one yet, I just researching before I do. Want to make sure I'm ready. I've also read that their care is very similar to waters, just scaled down a bit. Thanks again for the info.
