... Cousin It!

BTW, I like those eclipse spots on the side, nice change from the norm. Any idea if you can selectively breed for that? Could be your future "eclipse" line. Man, I wish I could get another few snakes, would be fun to experiment with this stuff...

You gonna have to wait a while....till I produce "It" that is

Yeah, kinda cool, I believe they are polygenic, more of a line bred trait. Should be able to produce more and refine the look over time.

What, no "Cousin It"? I guess if you produce some weird pattern that looks like hair, that would be a good name.

Have you used any names from "The Munsters?"

Dave then you will buy more snakes and what will the wife think about thatlol If you don't have a brb by the end of next year then you are off of the forumj/k of course. What does that Indigo eat and how often?
Bob

natsamjosh Oct 22, 2007 04:26 PM

Man, the pressure is on now. I'll have to do some soul searching in 2008! Maybe if you send me that hypo BRB for
a few months, she might see how pretty they can be, and then it's win-win for everyone.

So far I've fed Jack once a week - a small mouse for the first 3 feedings, and pair of Anoles for the last feeding. Man, did he get excited with that second lizard! (I guess he liked the taste of the first one after taking his time to finally pounce on it.) He started rattling his tail and WHAM, grabbed it out of my hand. Then he kind of chewed on its head for a few minutes, which I thought was interesting. (He could have swallowed in quickly if he wanted.) Anyway, my amatuer hypothesis is that most Indigo owners (over?) feed their snakes a diet way too high in fat, so I'm gonna try to throw in as many low fat meals (ie, reptiles) as I can afford. He could probably eat every 4 or 5 days, and a lot of folks recommend that.
