Well, if the air in your house is really dry, go for it.
The cons could be that if it gets too humid, mold and mildew growth might be an issue.
Some people's houses get extremely dry during the wintertime, so it might be a good idea if you have all your snakes in one room, and all of them have the same or similar humidity requirements.
I'd get a good hygrometer first, so you can see how dry/humid it is in the room, and so you can monitor it as you use a humidifier.
Just also remember to check the humidifier daily and refill it as needed, which can be done when you check your animals' water bowls.

I live in Kentucky and the air does get real dry here in the winter. I use a humidifier now and I have hygrometers set up in different spots in the snake room. Thanks for the info and the advice.

My snake room gets pretty cool in the winter.
I keep a water bowl in the center at all times.
The heated side creates mucho moisture that turns the cool side into a swamp with excess condensation.
