Back from Daytona and finally caught up around here...

and I came home without a new Tegu! I saw a fabulous young adult female Blue on Saturday afternoon. She was a looker! I talked it over with my daughter Saturday night and we decided to go back and purchase her on Sunday morning. Unfortunately she was gone already.
I did purchase an awesome Black Roughneck Monitor which is exactly what I went after. I also happened to pick up a Blue Tongue Skink and an amel ZigZag Cornsnake. Steph also got a Skink and picked up 4 Viper Boas which is what she was looking for. We brought home 1 rescue Iguana, 5 Bearded Dragons, 1 Prehensile Tailed Skink, and 5 Cornsnakes, who will all be looking for new homes soon.
The show was great, as usual. I was disappointed that I didn't meet up with some folks. The weekend flies by so quickly.

I was at the expo, unfortunately I brought all of my children and they got bored quickly (they are all little) so we only stayed long enough to meet Bert, and Nicole and pick up Amigo (my baby BW tegu) and look around at a few tables. I live in Daytona.
My husband was looking at the black roughneck monitors with a lot of interest, how is yours doing, who did you buy from, what are their personalities like....temperament etc??? So many questions!!! hee hee.

Hiya Jane

I plan on being more organized next year. It was hard to do everything I wanted with the children there too. I saw your Iguana on Sunday morning but I thought it would be too early to knock ...then later that day it was gone so I figured you were gone already.
I plan on getting a cabana next year....they were all taken when I called and I got a room on the 11th floor, facing the ocean (what is with those odd terraces????)...which was so far from everything.
Can I ask...how did you get the animals back? I had to get on 2 planes so I was too scared to do it. I have decided though, to get 2 chinese gliders (frogs) , one jeweled lacerta in a couple of weeks. And next spring a tiny red and a baby tortise (did anyone see those HUGE tortises? They were the size of a dryer!).
I know I asked you this once but I lost it---could you post your link to your website? And do you ship?

Thanks

Hey! I did not know you were there. Wish I could have met you in person. I made it to Daytona this year. Long flights from California but worth it.
No tegus for me, I did pick up or make deals for many cool ball pythons. I got a spider (ball python) which will be very cool in the coming years.
I only have one pet tegu left, from 100's to one Easy clean up now though!
