I am about 10 miles from the Foothill fire. I am in no immediate danger but it is raining ash. The tortoises don't seem to care because it was 90 degrees today so they were out eating and mating even though they should be going into hibernation soon. A Redfoot even laid eggs today. So, I think the fire is bugging me more than them because I smell like smoke and I have to keep changing the tortoises' water because ash keeps settling in it.

I'd like to extend my best wishes to all the folks in SoCal.
I do hope yall make it through this without a hitch.

This is where I don't miss SD.

4 years ago I had to cancel a trip to Costa Rica because of the risk of one of those fires. I had to look at evacuating a huge collection. That was a stress I will never forget.

I've got some nice photos of my vehicles covered with 'snow'.

Anyway... the best of luck to you all.
