Im in Illinois until saturday, and i got here last saturday so im missing all my neighboring cities in Cali going up in flames. My father is stuck fighting them until they are out or until 3 weeks (whatever comes first). Im kind of nervous because i live right below hills and my citie is right in between santa barbra and filmore (both burning) and if it starts up my snakes are screwed. Pray for the fire fighters and everyone that has lost their homes. Hope all is well in the golden state.

I doubt there is a single person in So Cal who isn't touched by this fire or doesn't know someone who has been affected. And to think some of these fires were started purposefully. Crazy.
Aside from the harsh reality of human home losses (which are absolutely staggering), alot of the precious wild habitat not covered by houses or strip malls is burned. I know of a number of zonata spots that are burned up. I hope the snakes are safe below in the rocks.
May the people affected and the wildlife bounce back.
