I've been answering doom and gloom messages too much, so I'm going to subject my two favorite boards to a fun thread:

What is the strangest/silliest/quirkiest/unique thing your crested does?

For mine, she is an american football nut. She will sit with both front feet on the side of her CGD bowl and lick snack while totally absorbed in the game. When half time comes, she walks to the other side of the enclosure, climbs up on her hide and stares at me like it is my fault they stopped playing or she thinks I changed the channel. After half time, she's right back at her snack.

Silva is in her temporary I-need-to-be-observed tank with only a giant pothos plant. When I dump crickets in the top, it kind of looks like that scene from the first Jurassic Park where they're feeding the raptors. A quick shake of the leaves, then nothing.

Feeding Squirt is always interesting when he hasn't had crickets for awhile..He bounces around like a super ball. A fat, spotted one.

I'll second the raptor feeding scene, but since Pooh-bear's tank is what you might call "heavily forested," she doesn't always notice right away when you put crickets in, so she'll surprise you with it an hour or two later sometimes. You'll be sitting there minding your own business, browsing the web, playing video games or whatever, and then all of a sudden, rustle, rustle, rustle, thump! She likes to fall on them, and then always looks dumbfounded while chomping them down. It's like she's surprised that she catches them. "What's this in my mouth? Maybe I should try eating it...hey, this tastes kinda good!" I think she's got some short-term memory problems.

ive only had mine for a month now and it's still unamed because i dont know its gender, but so far the wierdest thing ive noticed is at night time, i sit on my bed with my laptop and wen i do that it goes to the bottom corner of its cage and just stares, but when i close tha laptop and leave the room, wen i come back it is gone. if i open the laptop again it will come back down in the same spot and watch me again. I think it looks so funny.

Hmm... maybe I should be careful about when I hit enter when trying to post... sorry.

Anyways, these stories make me laugh out loud. They are great. Fat spotted superball, never going to look at a ball in the same way again that is for sure.

The nosey gecko, maybe s/he wants to help or wants to look at gecko pictures?

I have to make a comment about Poohbear. Having met said gecko and watched said activity... words cannot describe it completely. She will sit there with this complete look of shock and amazement and somewhat dumbfounded look at having caught a cricket. She'll hold it for like 30 seconds. I think it goes more like, "I wonder what this is... is it food... should I chomp it some more... I think I'll chomp it some more... hey, that was fun and it seems to have a creamy middle... I think I'll keep chomping... I wonder where I found this and if there are more..." She's really adorable, but has some problems with the whole cricket eating thing. Thanks for the memory.

Thanks for all your stories, they have helped me through a tough week and I remember why we put up with this poopy creatures. If anyone thinks of any more, feel free, I hope everyone had as good a laugh as I did.
