Corn snake hibernating?

snake_gal Oct 24, 2007 06:38 PM

I was curious about how to go about letting corns hibernate.
How do you tell if the snake has gone into hibernation?
How do you make sure the snake won't starve to death?
What are ideal temperatures for hibernating?
Any answers to these questions, or peronal experiences would be great.
Thanks a lot!

You don't need to hibernate your corn. Just keep it at normal cage temps all year. Later on down the road if you want to try breeding, then start hibernating them.

It won't go into hibernation until you "put it into" hibernation by cycling the temps.

They won't...

>>What are ideal temperatures for hibernating?

48-55 degrees F.
