ok so do geckos NEED a light? or just a UTH? even if not for a heat source for something else? also, what is IDEAL temp to house your GEX?
simple stuff.. but thought I'd ask other's opinions...

Leopard geckos dont need a light but it never hurts to put one on the tank...a UTH would be all you really need for them this way they would have the proper amount of heat needed...as for the temp, during the day i would suggest keeping it around 84-86º and at night me personally, i wouldnt let the temp get any lower then like 74-76º even tho it has been said that a lower temp doesnt hurt the leos at all, but thats just the way i keep mine....i hope this helps.

No geckos don't need a light but I disagree with the temps I think around 90 is much better.

They don't need a light for heat, but they still need light to know when it's night and day. I keep mine in a room that gets natural sunlight so I don't have to worry about switching the lights on and off.
