slugs?

I thought slug meant still-born butI just read " 1 slug, no still-born" on the nerd site

....so what's a slug please gents?

I believe it is a follicle that did not develop enough to produce a viable egg. I remember reading that there may be a blood spot in them if they were fertilized, but the egg itself is not capable of supporting the growth of an embryo. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
