depends what you want. no best book in the world. i wanted randall grey's book but they didn't have it anywhere. wilms' book is ok. you can find all of it on the internet if you have the time anyway. i finally saw the new spinytailed agamids book with some new lindsay pike photos showing ventrals of male and female mali's and well i really didn't look through it -must be something good in there. read every book. except those xxx things, just kidding.

If you can get a copy of "The Uromastyx Guide" by Jason Shanaman, you'll have most everything you need.

Oh, & BTW, he does some FINE sculptures!!

I got the book along with two of his maliXMoraccon crosses from a few years back... both are outstanding

Which book are you referring to with the Lindsey pike pics ???? Thanks !! Jerry

I think it is the re-release update of "Uromastyx and Spiny-tailed Agamids". Didn't have time to really look at it and the store didn't seem thrilled about me looking in it anyway(it is for sale!). I knew it was Lindsay's pics of the mali's because he had told me about it on the phone when I was buying one of my favorite uros and was questioning him to death about anything I could think of. (sorry man). The title escapes me at the moment, though. Could be the Uromastyx Guide- but I am not sure, I was in a rush. Sculptures? that is really cool.

OK I looked it up I think it's Uromastyxlus other Common Agamids by Jerry Walls/ The Herpetocultural Library $8.95. would you like paper or plastic? thank you for shopping the forum. Enjoy.
