If you own a corn in Texas

If you have not checked out the Herp Law and CITIES forum, do so now, http://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=13

It will soon be illegal to own more than (most likely 6) corns, or breed/sell them in the state.

Since they put the cornsnake on the "black list" what will happen? Are we going to be able to get a permit to own them or is that only the "white list" animals? I'll move states if I have to be able to keep my corns, but if Texas falls like Georgia is there any state that will be safe?

I have emailed 4 of the local (DFW) news stations to let them know about the ban in Texas. I actually talked with someone from CW33 and he said that they haven't heard about this. He also thought this wasn't right what was happening and how fast. He said they will try to air it on Monday because the TP &WD won't comment on the weekend. I believe that we need to get this out there and let the entire public know. That way more people will be contacting the officials and perhaps we can save our right to own our pets. Please help and email your local news stations about this. They will probably try to help since it's a new story.
