good price?

winnipeguy Oct 25, 2007 08:34 PM

k, to all the breeders....What is a fair price for a pair of albinos? (or a het and an albino?)
don't really know what I should be looking for as far as price. I am in canada, so getting from the states costs a lot extra for me, but I know of some good breeders here. (namely Corey Woods, his rep preceeds him) I just don't want to find a good price and end up getting scammed.
thanks for any advice

I think you could pic up 1.0 male Albino and 0.1 100% het for Albino for under $700 - US. That is my opinion.

Go with Corey. Since you trust his reputation you should feel confident that he will charge a fair (Canadian) price. Even if he doesn't have the specific animals you are looking for, I'd be willing to bet he would either put you on a waiting list for them or put you in contact with someone else who does have what you are looking for.

If I were you I'd look as hard as possible to find the animals you are looking for in Canada or wait until they become available - just to save the hassle and expense of international shipping. That is unless you decide sometime in the future you would like some triple trait morph that you are already going to be paying thousands of dollars for... in that case, it might be worth it.

I think you are right, I'll prob go with Corey. Just such a habit to shop around. I really don't have a lot of money, so the "bargain" prices are so tempting. Guess I gotta consider a quality animal will be better in the long run tho!
Thanks guys!
(wouldn't mind any recommendations of other canuck breeders to check out tho!)
is there many canadians on here?

I know of a breeder that you can get some real quality het pairs for $550. Email me and I will let you know who they are. I have purchased from them before and their animals are amazing.
