He is adorable. It is always great to see kids that are not afraid of snakes.

he was a little hesitint at first but i just kept bring them out when he was around and he eventually asked if he could hold it. and now every time he sees me hes like "hold snake". its so funny

The high white on that spider is stunning -- very nice!

It's good for them to learn about them when they're little -- they're so impressionable and easy to teach. I bring my 18-month-old daughter in the snake room with me on feeding days and likes to watch the process. On cleaning days she's allowed to hold my old boy Spoon with a little help, and she thinks he's just too cool -- ear to ear grin and huge eyes. She calls him a "nack" instead of "snake"...LOL!

Now thats what it's all about!!!

You are lucky my nephew comes over and my brother will not let him even touch the snakes and he wants to. In fact he told me outright that he does not want him to touch them. Unreal My five year old always holds them no matter what I say he will not bend.

Now thats the way you do it. All these people who mention "growing" the Ball market, then explaining the method they use to increase general interest in snakes is that they walk down the street and around their neighborhood with a Ball Python around their neck, or that they mentioned snakes to the lady next them while looking at puppies in the mall....this is not doing crap to increase interest in anything (probably just the oppposite).

What you are doing with your nephew, now this is going to spark the imagination and interest of what looks to be a very smart young man. He will be in his back yard turning over rocks and boards looking for snakes (just like many, many of us here used to do), and he will be asking pleeeeaaaassse can he get a snake for Christmas or his BDay, and he will also be telling his friends at school how he held the huge constrictor his uncle breeds and its called a Spider cause the way it looks...and...etc...etc...etc..

That is just great!

Aww, that is too cute!

That has to be the nicest spider I've ever seen, too.

thanks everybody. im really tryin to get him into snakes and so far it seems to be working. the spider might be sweet lookin but is a major dummy lol. takes her like an hour to figure out that its really hard to swallow stuff backwords, from the stomach, and every other possible way till she finally goes for the head. its kind of rediculous. but i like her and she really enjoys being out and about which is cool.
