Houston area

Hey,
Well, I've been away for a while, but have time to post and read again...

I'm in Houston for 6 weeks, where can I see some crocs? I don't suppose anyone is willing to show me their personal collection (or single "pet". I just love seeing them.

I'm in the southwest in Sugar Land. But of course I'm willing to drive almost anywhere - I have nothing to do on weekends
No worries, my "kids" are well taken care of in Canada.

Send me an email. If your in Sugarland your only 20-30 minutes from me depending on traffic. I would also suggest Brazos Bend state park while your in the area. Depending on which day you go I may be able to go with you depending on the day.

Just wanted to comment here: I think it's great how you'd like to go check out other people's stuff and just like to see the animals - that's a sign of real love for the animals and the hobby would do well to have more people like you. Most only care about what 'they' are doing and what 'they' have etc, like it's some ego trip. I'm like you and will go high and low just to check something out and appreciate what other folks have and what they are doing.
By the way, are you Canadian and where in Canada are your kids?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the kind words, I really do love all animals (except Raccoons - long story lol).

I live in Toronto and that's where my little zoo is too. Where you from? Any other Canadians on the board nowadays?

mr fisher.

Hi Mr.Fisher,
I'm down just outside of Windsor. How big is your facility and what type of animals do you have? I've got a small menagerie myself and do educational shows. You can check out my website at www.zoo2you.ca It shows just some of my animals.
I'd love to come check out your animals sometime when you're back in the country. I'm also always looking for things if you ever have extra surplus.
Thanks,
Mike

Now that I think about it, by 'zoo' you weren't referring to your kids where you?? lol if you were.

mrfisher Nov 15, 2007 07:30 PM

haha, no, no kids Mike.
The zoo is an assortment of animals - reptiles, "traditional" pets, hoof stock, and hint of aquaria (I had to tone it down for my move and haven't quite rebuilt yet).

It's actually all a personal collection (no shows or seminars, but definitely educational for me and my extended family).

I'll let you know when I'm back in TO and back in the saddle.

Mike,
You have a great website and a fantastic collection. We'll touch base when I get back for sure. I'm guessing that's you in the picture with the monitor lizard?

You have to check out Brazos Bend State Park! It was my refuge for the year that I lived in Houston. I was much closer than I am sure I was supposed to be to alligators every time I went there. Saw a couple of really big gators there too. They were of course not really close to the paths. I will be really jealous if you get to go there with C. Dieter
