First time boa breeding...

lateralis Oct 26, 2007 05:25 PM

Hi guys and gals

B.c.i and B.c.l, both pairs are 4+ years old now and I am interested in trying to breed them this year. Anyone interested in sharing strategies on cycling, introductions, gestation? Im a helodermid/aspidites/colubrid guy and know VERY little about boa breeding. Note: I am not crossing them, I just have two different ssp. that require the same question(s).
Here is my male Harding line B.c.longicauda
top pic is recent bottom pic is from 04

Hey dude,
we keep crossing paths. Drop your night time lows into the low 70's but bring your daytime temps back up into the 80's and shorten the light cycle. introduce your animals about 3 weeks later and they will do the rest. The courtship is lengthy . Bring your temps back up to normal after the post ovulation shed. Good luck ! Hope to see you in the field somewhare this year. ( TOM)
