wow, thats a tough one.I can't say for sure but it looks like blanchardi or blanchardi x ? maybe polyzona.

I don't see stuarti in it myself.

Maybe Scott or Gerrit will have a better guess on this one.

That was my though Shannon, right off the bat, looks like more blanchardi than anything else. No stuarti at all. Nice looking snake though.

Hi,

I agree with Shannon.

Or it is something really odd like orange conanti with strange body markings but I don't think so.

Any further infos or better shots possible?

yeah, conanti had crossed my mind but it just has that look.
Anyway, I am sticking with blanchardi x polyzona and its probably from way south veracruz like the Tabasco area.

Hola hombre,

what makes me scratching my head is the "pinstriped" black banding. I have seen this before in atlantics but not very often....yours do show it as well?

I never thought blanchardi has any snout markings so this is not possible.

Well, here is a mexican polyzona....

That's not a "pure" subspecies of anything.
but like some others have mentioned, I think it probably has a large percentage of "blanchardi" influence......whatever other possible gene-flow is in there, is anyone's guess.

Anyone saying they are CERTAIN what that is without locality data, is just "blowing smoke".

okay so there's this guy-outta ohio of all places-steals his comrade/peer's girl right out from under his nose,in fact goes on to marry her, adding insult to injury....as if that wasn't bad enough,in his autobio he proceeds to smeer the poor lad from whom he took his wife, calling him a smoking, womanizing drunkard.....lol how's the saying go,'with friends like that...?'....good times, good times;i see conant's milk snake

My daughter is trying to identify some snake pics for an educational class. I dont have any other info about the pic. Your opinions are a great help. I will pass on the info. Thanks again. Rin
