You really shouldn't have an adult in that for any length of time...and as far as temperment, if they are a cb individual and are handled often, they are for the most part relatively docile, but still unpredictible.

Aquariums are great.....for fish. For reptiles that need humidity they aren't that great. I "could" use them here in FL because the humidity is naturally very high. I don't even have to mist any cages. If you covered say 1/2 the top of the screen top it may do the trick though, you'll have to mess with it to find out if it would work. As for what size adult could fit I'm not to sure. I'll tell you that once bloods get to adult size they don't move around much. As an ambush preditor they wait for prey, they don't hunt prey. Really they don't need all that much room but you don't want to cramp them up either. A 3ft blood would be fine in that size aquarium although I'm not sure how much larger before it would need something new. Babies are usually nippy, I don't care if they are w.c., c.h., or c.b. Adults vary with the time put in. I disagree with unpredictible as I had a group I completely trusted. They aren't going to kill you if something goes wrong like a burm or retic so the turst wasn't an issue, worst comes to worst you take a bite which is no big deal. My adults were all over 6ft with the largest being over 8ft. I purchased these guys as adults so I didn't have the luxury of raising them for hatchlings. When you raise an animal you tend to catch on to how they will react, what they like and don't like, and what they will put up with. When you know all that info you can sorta trust the animal. Anyways just my experience.
