New Boa's Weight

manog Oct 27, 2007 03:25 AM

Hey everyone,

Finally got a BRB!!!! The person i got her from said she was a year old this month. Is 95 grams a good weight for a boa this age?

Thanks!

I'm not sure on weights other then birth and breeding weights and on the breeding ones I only know pound measurement not grams.
That being said the size can vary significantly from animal to animal even if they are very healthy. Some just grow faster or are more fo pigs then others.

If you have or can take some pics and post them it would be easier to tell if the snake looked healthy and if you put a dollar bill or something in the picture for size refference could also tell how close to average yearly size it was.

Sean.

I'm notorious for feeding my animals a little on the light side and my yearlings are usually in the 100-gram range. Others will most certainly have yearlings that are bigger, but 95 grams is reasonable and healthy for a snake that age.
