kingsnake running slow lately??

Jonathan_Brady Oct 27, 2007 08:05 AM

I know we go through this every once in a while, then someone says something, everyone jumps on board, and something gets done about it. So, anyone else experiencing this? Moderators, what's up?
Thanks, jb

There is work to be done! I am super busy getting all my animals lined up to pair up! As are most breeders this time of year. It will pick up once people start having a little excitement in their snakerooms! And I am just plan wore out from the baby season, glad I am down to 20-30 babies from the 200 I produced this season! The market is kinda crummy right now too and that puts a drag on things also!

Are you talking about the loading times?? If you are, I've been having problems too. It takes a long time to load. Sometimes I have to refresh the page in order to get it to load.

Today it does seem to be going faster. Maybe it's already been fixed.

Jonathan,

Except for the occasional hiccup on the network, I normally find the site loading quickly for me. I definitely have not noticed a pattern of it slowing down. When someone complains of slowness, the first thing I always ask them is to clean out their temporary internet files or cache and their cookies. Then run a free spyware program such as Adaware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/. Those spyware files can really bog you down.

The third problem that could be to blame is routers. When you try to connect to a site, it takes you thru a series of routers to reach your goal. Every web site goes to a different location so uses a different set of routers. If one breaks down, they have to route around it and that can really slow you down. I know of no way to fix this problem.

I hope one of these will help you. We hate to hear about anyone having trouble getting to our site.
