Shipping problems!!!

I am expecting a 7 ft male tiger. It was supposed to be in yesterday at 1030 am. It was sent airborne express. Airborne says it got delayed somewhere. They have no idea where it is at.

My concern is with the heat, will the snake survive 2 days. If they lost the package what can i do to be reinbursed for the price if the snake.

WHat part of the country are you in and is it coming from?
I would hope that the individual packed it with a cool pack if it is in a hot climate, on the other hand, it is not going to last more than 24 hours.

As far as recouping your $, what terms did you and the seller come to. Did you get a live arrival guarantee? Did you say you wanted a guarantee of this regardless of any delays? I know you said that Airborne deos not know where it is/was delayed, but did you track it? What does the tracking info say? Unfortunately there is nothing you can do in regards to getting your money back from Airborne. It is against their company policy to ship snakes therefore they will tell you they are not responsible. Hopefully the snake is in some climate controlled building and was just misplaced by Airborne. Otherwise, I hate to say it, (I assume you are in a warmer than normal climate by your post and concern for heat) that I do not believe the snake will survive any substantial heat in a box.
Keep us updated.

I am in North Carolina and the retic is coming from New York. All airborne says is if it comes to NC they will make sure it gets delivered. I have tracked it and all it says was it left the airborne station in NY and is in route to NC.

After 4 days the tiger rretic finally got here. I open the box expecting to find a dead snake. But he is a live. After being in a box for 4 days he is here. I pulled him out of the box expecting a wild snake but so far he has bben a sweet heart. He is now in his cage cruzing around. I am excited.

He is great. I took him out of the bag to check him over. And is was as calm as can be. When he got into his cage he streched out and he is a little over 7 ft. I am extremly happy. I will be getting a bunch of rats at the NC reptile and exotic animal show. Thanks Bob for a great snake.

Hey Brian,
How are things? All is good here in Chicago. You mentioned the use of cold packs during shipping. How do you do this?

I hope all is well!
Brett
