Thanks for the quick reply. I had been to Pro Exotics and seen the livestock tanks you used. I was just wanting some pictures of custome made enclosures/rooms that people house their 5ft monitors in. Anyone else? Thanks

there are not a lot viable options for a big cage. there are no commercial cage builders that make a good monitor cage, so it is largely do it yourself ingenuity.

check out the post from Mike's Monitors a ways down the forum, he posted some excellent log topping for his trough, i thought that was very creative.

Robyn & Mike

Thanks for the replies. I am guestimating that the trough in your pictures is a 3x8x2(I use to work at TSC). From my research on larger monitor species(nile/water/blackthroat) wouldn't this be a little small. I am aware there are no "industry made" cages to accomidate such a large and active monitor. I was wondering how everyone was housing their large adult monitors. All i could seem to find was enclosures for the smaller species. By the way, thats an awesome looking set-up Mark. What species is that?

I actually have made 3 of these custom troughs.
I have two 6'ers and an 8'er.
Species kept, Jobiensis.
Thanks
Mike
