either you have two or are gender confused

"He" will stay in his hide unless hungry, natural behavior for a baby BRB. "Hide or get eaten"

"She" could get to 7 feet but that is the upper range and definitely an older animal, IMO 5plus years minimal, probably more like 10. I myself don't go by length, too hard to measure, I go by weight and reasonable girth.

That poor GTP, has severe water blister disease!! Still looks good though!!

lol, then how do i feed it??? Do i yank it out of its hide? the guy told me wait a week to feed it. and do i feed it at night or in the day? How heavy will an adult be and can you give me a growth scale like how long it takes it to get medium sized and stuff

In a larger cage I'd go with a feed box, yes "yank" her out, put in her feed box with prey. once done, gently transfer back.

Of course all are different and will be different depending on breeding or not and how often etc. My females seem to top out around 6 - 8 pounds but I do put them on semi yearly crash diets where they lose 1/3 of their weight in one day.

For a decent eating baby, it should be around 3 - 3.5 lbs at 2 1/2 years old.

Great looking animals. On the hiding bit, my CRB almost never comes out of her hide. She'll spend all day curled up in her humidity box, and only come out very late, at night. If she's not in her box, she's soaking in her water dish.

One thing about a feed box is just getting the snake out is enough to stress it and can/might cause it to refuse food. This is just snakes in general. I am not against feed boxes, I personally use them with a few of my snakes but I put the feed box in the snake’s cage and I only do this with adults. The only reason I use feed boxes for these animals is because they are not on newspaper/paper towels.

My guess is some people use feed boxes thinking it trains the snake to not attack every time the cage is open, well I have a feeding routine and I can tell you most of my snakes think every time the cage is being open its either a predator or food. I don't think they are smart enough to understand when you move them out from there environment into another that means food only. How would they know when you are moving them to another cage for cleaning and another cage for food how could they know the difference?

So again if you are doing it to avoid them possibly eating there substrate I can understand, however if your doing it to try and teach them something well it wont. There is no reason u can’t leave the feed box in the cage with the rodent in it, some people use egg creating over the substrate, which ever works best for you and the snake. I use tongs and force the snake to its feed box to coil and consume either in the box or on the lid.

One last thing ALL of my neonates are on paper towels or newspaper so no worries about substrate consumption.

I hope it all makes some sense.
