Why the millipede? Aren't those the poisonous ones, or m I thinking centipedes? I'm a firm believer in not mixing species and I'm thinking that might cause some problems if your crested or your bug gets nippy.

I think you've got a good amount of plants for a start, but there still isn't a good vertical playground. It would seem that your two roomates would share the same space since there aren't really plants to jump between that would hold her weight. She'd have to jump to your ladder or the ground or the glass, if that makes any sense.

Try to think of it this way, they are tree dwellers for the most part, they have little gliding wings on their back legs so they can hop from branch to branch.

I'm trying to think of how we could set this up more quickly while still staying in your natural bent. Why not get vine clips (little plastic-y things) and train a pothos vine to run across the top or near top of the enclosure? You have to think tree canopy style living.

I don't have access to my own computer right now, but I will attempt to take a picture of what we have currently and post later. Not perfect by any means, but I believe we have a good start. She certainly uses every part of her enclosure. (To poo in.)

Oh, PS to your PM I don't trust anything I didn't build myself and the area we currently live in has lots of mold problems so I haven't made an elevated platform for feeding. However, our girl was fed on the floor since she was born so it has never been high on my list of things to do right now, though it is in the plans of the "never to be built due to time ultimate crested house!".

Everything will grow in over time. The pothos will grow up the bamboo, the MILT will grow higher, and the phil. in the middle will put out more leaves. I'm still looking for some decent vines that won't come off the glass, or topple over. The ZooMed ones are way too bendy, every time the girl gets on them, they just bend over under her weight. I saw bigger ones on their website, but i've yet to see them in stores. I was also thinking about maybe silicon-ing some thicker bamboo vertically and horizontally at different levels in the enclosure, but I haven't quite figured out how I should do that yet. I was thinking about siliconing v's onto the glass that could hold the bamboo, I just haven't been able to get to that yet, because of midterms.

Millipedes can excrete a toxin, but it's pretty hard when you don't have giant crunchy teeth. The 'pede is about 11 inches long. Silva did nip him the other night, but that's because he cruised up on me when I was holding her feeding dish, so I assume she mistook him for food. They're harmless herbivores, they just chow down on carrots and detritus, and as I just found out, CGD as well. If there are any problems, i'll remove the feller, but i've not seen anything major yet. Repashy has millipedes living with his cresties, and mentions it in his book, so I figured i'd give it a try.
