My iguana is not eating and lethergic

Alostsoul08 Oct 30, 2007 12:40 PM

My iguana hasn't eaten for about 3 days. He's not even active. He just sits on his water bowl and stares out of his cage. I thiught maybe he wanted to come out and get some exercise but he didn't even want me to pick him up. Which isn't like him. I moved him off of his water bowl and he just went right back to it. The temp in his cage is around 86-88 and he has a uv light on him all day. I give him clean food an water everyday but hes not touching it at all. What should I do?

How old is it? How long have you had it? Do you have a
UVB source? What do you feed it? You are not very specific
on temps. What is the basking area? If you are keeping the
cage at this constant temp you need to do some research on
requirements. Directly on the basking area should be 95-100
and then there should be areas which go down to about 70 degrees.
Please give some more details as to this ig's history.

If in doubt, you need to find a qualified vet to check him
out.
