NEW Tank for my collared lizard

platinumtlc Oct 30, 2007 03:38 PM

Hey all.
I recently moved my lizard up with me from Jersey to central New York where I go to school. I set up her tank with the basic necessities, and then worked on her new interior for a few days. This is my 2nd attempt at a "rock wall" background. The first one I made over 2 years ago and haven't tried to make another one since. It was made with polystyrene and tile adhesive. I'm looking to make a website on how I created it with step-by-step instructions since there aren't that many of those on the web and I know it was hard for me to find one. ANYWAY, my lizard's name is Combo and I've had her for a few years. Because of me moving around a lot, I didn't handle her often so she never got used to me holding her. Now that we've got a lot of time together, I'm hoping she lets me tame her as time goes on.

Great work Platinum, I have noticed that a couple of the reptile companies offering such backgrounds that you have produced.

How thick of poly did you use??

How did you carve it??

What did you use to paint it??

What did you do to make it lizard safe??
