Brumation temps

justinmatthew Oct 30, 2007 04:03 PM

I plan on utilizing some closet space I have in a bedroom and placing my snakes in the plastic shoe box containers used in racks, etc. My temps in my homes are kept typically in the mid to high 60s, probably cooler at night. Now I know that temps for brumation are usually kept in the mid 50s or so, and it won't get this cool on its own. Any ideas as to how I could appropriately drop temps in just one area? I thought about hooking up a small fan to place in the closet, but I'm not sure the draft from the fans would be good for the snakes. Thanks for any ideas.

You should be okay with the temps in the 60's.
