Arm Pit Inflation?

greencdfxn Oct 30, 2007 09:47 PM

Hi I'm new!

Two of my older leopard geckos (both about 3 years old) have developed a puffy area of skin under/behind their front arms. It is just like an air bubble of skin that does not feel hard or filled with liquid. They have gained a little weight recently. I was just wondering if anyone knows about this or if it is normal. The health seems great otherwise and the two other geckos they live with don't have this problem. Any info would be appreciate.

Thanks!
Rose

They probably got really fat tails too right??
They just have no other place to store their fat so their resorting to their pits. I have had dozens of geckos with fat pockets, for my females, it goes away during breeding. Just keep letting them get fatter, but with good fat(crickets, mealworms), I would stay away from waxworms.

Agreed, although I would cut back on the frequency of feeding, personally.
