Some will brumate during our summer(northern hemisphere) and some our winter, some won't. You can't control brumation, I think you may be able to get them into it but you can't stop them. It depends on age and if they want to brumate or not.
I hope that clears it up,
Matt

Brumation is the cool down period most reptiles go through. It is usually during their winter months. Although, you can control when you want them to brumate by reducing their light and making it cooler in their enclosure. This will make them think it is their winter and they will brumate. If you do nothing, they will go into this on their own though. It is worthwhile to brumate your beardies if you want to control when they breed to a cetain extent. Because, when they come out of brumation they are ready willing and able to breed.
