awwww come on Tim what's up with that??? lol Hope you are cooling your girl right now and lowering the humidity as we speak so I can get a baby like your male yeah I love that guy
Bob

TimS Nov 01, 2007 05:05 PM

nope not lowering yet thanksgiving they will be lowered normaly i would have every1 starting to cool and getting off feed but im doing a back to back breeding with my ball python and trying my rainbows again so im running things late this year and havent even thought about cooling yet lol. every1 still has 100% normal temps and humidity and normal sized food every week im hoping the lil extra time will give them what they all need. if all goes well this year i will have baby rainbows piebald
and lots of ball pythons lol
normals
cinnies
piebalds
poss het for pieds (hets and norms in the same clutch)
not that you dont know what poss. hets are but for others whome might read and might not know

im hoping for about a total of only 23 or so babies this year.
predictions and breedings

BRB X BRB 12 babies

ball pythons
Big cinny male x Big normal female 6-8 eggs thinkign 7 tho

young first time breeding 100% het for piebald ball python pair
4 eggs hopefully more

strictly4fun Nov 01, 2007 05:48 PM

I hope you have more than 12 brb babies next year so I have a bigger selection to choose fromlol and so papa snake can make some more just like himself

Wow, that's a tiny litter. You need to aim a bit higher!!!

she is still small and this would be her first litter so you aim small and hope all come out ok and if you get more then its surprise you aim high in your hopes thinking your gon get 20 or so and end up with 12 potatos etc then your bummed slightly so i am aiming at 12 healthy babies to cause no harm to mom and to have big healthy no taters or problem babies

rainbowsrus Nov 01, 2007 07:21 PM

IMO, if she's not big enough to produce a decent sized litter, wait another year. I know easy for me to say when I have lots of good sized breeders vs only having one. Small females are more at risk for slug binding. Slugs are a reality of breeding, they happen. I've onmly had very few litters with no slugs at all and I believe many of those were found after mom snacked on potatoes!!

last season she was at minimal for breeding and didnt take and lost a lil bit of weight durring the whole ordeal this year she is a lil heavier but not much longer so im still going by what would be a decent hopefull first litter for a minimal sized girl.
