Epicrates pics, just not rainbows

prprjp Oct 31, 2007 11:34 AM

Just a couple of pics of some West Indian Epicrates. The two top photos are yearling Berry Island boas and the lower pic is one of my adult male Ford's boas.

Anyone else out there with some of the West Indian Epicrates? Let's see some pics if you got 'em!

Regards, Ryan

BRB's do tend to dominate the scene (I'm guilty of that)!!

Great pics!!!

I never saw mine that color before so I am very interested in seeing what she looks like after or did you steal one of Celia's beautiful photos by some chance?
Bob

rainbowsrus Nov 01, 2007 04:40 PM

would stoop so low as to steal Celias pics.

Oh, wait a minute, here they are

BTW, just swooped them off their site, thanks for reminding me!!!

Not stolen, just borrowed with no intention of returning them!!

Looks kind of fiery orange and that was the last '06 right not an '07? It looks a little smaller than mine but did you pull a weight on her you tricky fella you?
Bob

rainbowsrus Nov 01, 2007 04:58 PM

Yeah, she's an 06' decent size for a yearling and yeah looks like she's got very nice coloring. I already have a male hypo from the '05 litter, Mickey. He's stunning so I knew the 06's and 07's for that matter will be nice as well. The pair EBN has is a very compatible pair. Producing strong, good looking babies.

I'd been toying with the idea of offering a lower amount to them when I spotted an error in one of their BCI ads. When I sent them a message pointing out the error, Celia replied thanking me for pointing out the error (she found other errors, was a late night crafting of ad) And she offerred her to me at what I feel was a very decent price. One of those offers you can't refuse!!

Berry Island ones are cool and I like the camera angle of the Ford boa in terms of the head (I really liked that aspect of it for some reason) as always thanks for sharing and don't be no lurker

Great looking snakes and it's always good to see things other than BRBs on the page (Not that I'm complaining about BRBs, I just like some variation from time to time)

Ryan,
....Great PICs. We always like seeing the other Epicrates and insular boas. I was real tempted to get some of the Berry Island Boas that were recently in the classifieds.

Ryan,
...You done good. The last thing I needed was more snakes. If you have time how about keep us updated about how they are keeping with caging and feeding and growth info. That PIC Tom posted of the adult was pretty impressive. I have only seen a few big Berry Island and Bimini Boas. I know they can get big but I am wondering how big is typical.

Jeff - for sure I will update the forum with pics and growth info. They all fed last night on thawed mice which is a nice start

Andreas,
....Welcome to the forum. Impressive angulifer. How old and how big is it? We like seeing PICs and hearing about all the other Epicrates.

Thanks for posting. I'm with Jeff, it's great to see and hear about some of the more obscure Epicrates species. Any pics of the babies? Maybe a new thread would be good.

but it was before you jumped on the rainbow band wagonlol I think about 2 months ago he did one but of course he is due for an update
Bob

natsamjosh Nov 03, 2007 07:26 PM

Hey, I had a BRB before many of the young-un's on this forum
were out of middle school. Of course, I'm amazed at the husbandry skills of some of the younger folks on this forum, I'm sure I didn't do nearly as good of a job with mine as they do with theirs.
