ratsnakerascal Oct 31, 2007 12:48 PM

i got a couple het albis a few months ago and they shed for the first time with me about 4 days ago. my female shed good everything came off, but the scale on her right eye. that is the only scale left, i tried using warm water and a cuetip to apply the water too see if it would seperate but it wouldnt. i was thinking about taking her to a local reptile sanctuary and see if they can do anything for me. because i dont want her to loose her eye! any other suggestions?

thanks

firstly don't panic, she wont lose an eye that quick.

Is it her eye cap or just a scale around her eye?

The best thing i find is put them in a small box with wet tissue paper on a heat mat for about 30 mins and the skin will get soft from the humidity but if it is only one scale i wouldnt worry too much.

its the eye cap itself, but i read on another post that it should come off in next shed so im not worried.
